Fully release the parking brake. Press the central parking brake cable downwards.
Remove the end of the cable from the balance spring.
If working on the right-hand side, first remove the left parking brake cable.
Remove the rear seat.
Pull off the rear sill molding. Lift up the carpet.
Remove the cable support mounting. Feed the cable back through the eyelet.
