Warning! Protective gloves and protective goggles should be used for the following operations because of the risk of fuel spillage.
Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump. Install a rubber plug.
Separate the connector (gray) at the fuel pump (FP).
Remove the three screws holding the heater.
Remove the heater and drain any remaining fuel.
Installation
Install in reverse order.
Final check
Test the heater. Check the heater function according to Test running the additional heater / parking heater See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection
and Diagnostic Overview.
Check for leakage at both coolant hoses and fuel lines.
Top up the coolant if necessary.
Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) have been stored during the repair work.
