Disconnect the connector from the resistors

-

Press in the pins on the clips. Remove the clips

-

Carefully pull the power unit backwards.

Installation

-

In reverse order.

Replacing the intermediate section on cars with air conditioning (A/C)

Note! Read the instructions about slow and large leaks, see Oil in the air conditioning (A/C) system See: Testing and Inspection/Component
Tests and General Diagnostics/Oil In The Air Conditioning (A/C) System.

Note! Always use new O-rings lubricated with air conditioning (A/C) compressor oil.

Note! Always plug pipes and connectors when working on the climate control system.

Removal

In the engine compartment

-

Drain the system according to  Draining See: Service and Repair/Draining 

-

Disconnect the refrigerant pipe in the engine compartment

-

Remove the dashboard according to  Dashboard See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Dashboard 

-

Remove the screws and the nut for the intermediate section

-

Disconnect the evacuation hose

-

Disconnect the connector from the fan control module

-

Carefully detach the intermediate section.
