Clean the mating surfaces.

Install a new sealing ring on the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

Install the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Tighten to 10 Nm.

Reconnect the connector.

Reinstall the connector on the bracket.
Installing the cover on the thermostat housing

Clean the mating surfaces.

Install a new gasket on the thermostat.
-
Secure the thermostat housing. Tighten to 17 Nm.
Note! Refill the coolant. Run the engine to operating temperature. Top up as necessary. Function test. Check for leakage.
Check for leakage. Reinstall the engine splash guard and the trim covers.
