Install the rubber boots if necessary.
Set the steering gear housing in the center position. (see the markings)
If the markings are correct, the boots will be approximately the same length. Install the steering gear housing in the car from the left-hand side
(right-hand drive cars) or right-hand side (left-hand drive cars). Position the pipe: Check the screw hole in the pinion shaft.
Install the steering gear housing in the intermediate plate.
Check that the steering shaft is correctly position over the pinion shaft. Install and tighten the screw by hand.
Install the steering gear housing and the mounting brackets.
Right-hand drive cars: Ensure that the bracket and mounting are correctly positioned.
Secure the steering gear housing on the cross member. Tighten to 69 Nm.
