Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair
Removing / installing the shift lock solenoid with micro-switch
Preparations

Remove the center console panel on the right-hand side.
Removing the shift lock solenoid with micro-switch
CAUTION: Move the gear selector to position L to prevent damage when removing / installing the micro-switch. If the shift lock solenoid does not
operate: Turn the ignition key to position 1. Depress the SHIFT LOCK OVERRIDE button to move the gear selector lever.

Remove the connector from the gear shift. Disconnect the connector (A).

Remove the clamp (B). Remove the solenoid.
CAUTION: Undo the clamp (B) on the reverse of the bracket to prevent damage to the clamp.

Remove the micro-switch by pressing the lugs together.
Installing the shift lock solenoid with micro-switch
CAUTION: Move the gear selector to position L to prevent damage when removing / installing the micro-switch. Turn the ignition key to position I.
Depress the SHIFT LOCK OVERRIDE button to move the gear selector lever.

Press the micro-switch into place on the gear shift.

Install the micro-switch and secure it with the clamp.

Connect the connector. Secure the connector on the gear shift.
