Preparations
Removing transmission
To remove transmission, see Replacing the transmission See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Replacing The Transmission.
Removing
Torque converter
Pull the torque converter straight out of the transmission.
Check the torque converter throat for damage.
Replace torque converter if damaged.
Oil pump sealing ring
Remove sealing ring.
Use extractor 999 5069 EXTRACTOR See: Tools and Equipment/999 5069 Extractor.
Installing
Oil pump sealing ring
Lubricate sealing ring with ATF oil.
Install sealing ring.
Use drift 999 5117 PUNCH See: Tools and Equipment/999 5117 Punch.
