Transmission Mode Switch: Service and Repair

Replacing the S and W mode selectors

Special tools:

 981 4071 STRAIGHTENING TOOL See: Tools and Equipment/981 4071 Straightening Tool 

Removal

Remove the panel for the connectors. Use a weatherstrip tool  981 4071 STRAIGHTENING TOOL See: Tools and Equipment/981 4071 Straightening
Tool.
Lift the panel. Press up the mode selector (S or W) from below.
Separate the connector.
