The following method is the same for the left and right drive shafts.
Replacing outer constant velocity joint boot
Introduction
To facilitate the removal of the drive shaft constant velocity joints, grind down a drift as illustrated. Rounding the lower edge (R) means that the drift
will not catch in the drive shaft circlip groove. The sharper angle (approx. 600) means that drift has a greater surface contact with the inner ring.
Removing boot
Remove boot clamps.
Cut boot and remove it from the shaft.
