Mark up the tripod in relation to the drive shaft.

Remove:

-

the snap ring

-

the tripod with an extractor for tripods

-

the boot from the drive shaft

-

the clip.

Carefully pull the boot over the bearing.

Note! Remove the steel ring from the boot if necessary.

Installing the boot and tripod

Install:

-

a new boot on the drive shaft

-

the tripod as marked.

Tap the tripod into its seating. Use tool  999 5519 Drift See: Tools and Equipment/999 5519 Drift.
Install the snap ring. Ensure that the snap ring is seated in its groove.
