Press out the lock for the tripod housing. Use a pipe wrench (position the pipe wrench against the tripod housing). Carefully tap the outer ring down. Do
not damage the ring on the tripod housing.
Remove the tripod housing.

Removing the tripod from the drive shaft

Remove:

-

the snap ring

-

the tripod with an extractor for tripods.

When replacing old components, mark out the position of the tripod in relation to the drive shaft.
