Checking the component
Check that the batteries in the remote control for the audio unit are not drained.
Also check the battery terminals. Check for loose connections, contact resistance and oxidation.
Check that the infra-red lens on the audio unit is not obstructed (the lens in the top left corner on the front panel). Also check the lens on the remote
control.
Hint: The remote control can be tested in another car equipped with the Audio HU1205 unit.
Try a new remote control if the above checks do not remedy the problem.
Try a new audio unit if replacing the remote control does not remedy the problem.
Remedy as necessary.
