Fuel Door Release Actuator: Service and Repair

Fuel tank filler cover motor

Preparation

Remove left side panel in the cargo compartment

For S40, see Removing and installing side panels in the cargo compartment, S40 .

For V40, see Replacing side panels in the cargo compartment V40 .

Removing motor bracket

Only S40:

-

Remove foam.

-

Remove earth bolt and bracket bolt from the antenna.

-

Remove antenna bolt at the top.

-

Remove antenna completely.

S40 and V40:

-

If filler cover motor is defect, pull the rod to the rear of the car.

-

Open filler cover:

-

Remove bolt inside filler cover.

-

Remove connector and bolt, remove the bracket.

Removing motor

-

Remove screws (2x).

-

Take motor from rod.

Installing motor

Install:

-

New motor and rod.

-

Screws (2x).
