Replacing the mechanical emergency opening cable for the tailgate

Removing the mechanical cable

Remove:

-

the panel according to  Tailgate panel See: Trunk / Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair 

-

the lock mechanism according to Tailgate lock mechanism See: Trunk / Liftgate Lock Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Tailgate Lock Mechanism 

-

the mechanical cable from the tailgate

-

the clips from the mechanical cable.

Installing the mechanical cable

Install:

-

the clips on the mechanical cable

-

the mechanical cable on the tailgate

the lock mechanism according to Tailgate lock mechanism See: Trunk / Liftgate Lock Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Tailgate Lock Mechanism
