Remove the courtesy light, see Removing/installing courtesy light See: Lighting and Horns/Courtesy Lamp/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removing/Installing Courtesy Light.

Switch on the ignition.

Connect a cable between connection 6 and 4 (open to the tilt position) or between connection 6 and 8 (close from the tilt position).
Slide and tilt roof works; switch is faulty.

Replacing operating switch
The switch is an integral part of the courtesy lighting panel and must therefore be replaced completely.
