Brake Pad: Procedures
Front Brake Pads
Replacing Front Brake Pads
Special Tools: 951 2834
General
CAUTION: Replace the brake pads when the minimum thickness is 2 mm.
Removing the front brake pads
Remove:
-
the hub cap and wheel
-
the screw from lower locating pin for the brake caliper.
Twist the brake caliper upwards. Remove the brake pads.
Remove the wear indicator.
NOTE: Do not depress the brake pedal while the brake pads are removed.
Cleaning and checking the front brake caliper
