V40 L4-1.9L Turbo VIN 29 B4204T3 (2002)
Clean the power brake booster and the cowl panel.
Install in the engine compartment:

A new gasket on the power brake booster
-
the power brake booster. Do not damage the power brake booster.
Ensure that the support rod is correctly positioned on the brake pedal

the vacuum hose.
Install in the passenger compartment:
-
The four nuts for the power brake booster.
Tighten to 23 Nm

the bolt, washer and spring for the support rod
-
the soundproofing panel. Note the wiring for the courtesy lighting
-
the screws for the soundproofing panel.
Installing master cylinder

Final check

Read off and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

Test drive the car according to Test driving See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Check whether any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored. Read off any stored DTCs.
