Replacing The Left-Hand Control Valve For The Vacuum Pump
Removal
Preparations
Make a note of the anti-theft radio code.
Switch the ignition off and disconnect the battery negative lead.
Removing the control valve and wiring
Remove:
-
the relay terminal by the control valve. Pull the valve out of the power brake booster
-
the quick-release connector by the vacuum pump
-
the clamp (turbocharged engines) on the cable for the intake manifold
-
the cable from the clamp (naturally aspirated engines)
-
the hose connector in the intake manifold. Press the plastic ring in towards the intake manifold. Pull the cable out
-
the valves and wiring. Note the routing of the wiring.
Installation
Installing the control valve and wiring
Install:
-
the valve and wiring.
Note: Ensure that the wiring does not catch or rub.

the cable in the intake manifold
