DESCRIPTION:
Under certain engine warm up conditions ECM DTC A1 may set. Extreme cold temperature and a long engine idle time from cold start could trigger the
code.
SERVICE:
If ECM DTC A1 is set in a vehicle monitor the operation of the engine thermostat using VADIS. At normal operating temperature the engine coolant
temperature should be approximately 90°C. If the engine is not reaching proper operating temperature verify operation of the thermostat and replace if
necessary.
Perform the current VEMS download using VADIS version B or later. If the DTC returns, fault trace in accordance to VADIS.
