Auxiliary Cabin Heater Overheat Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Overheating protection thermostat, flame sensor and Coolant temperature sensor, replace
Removing
Preparations
Remove the heater according to Replacing heat exchanger See: Auxiliary Cabin Heater Housing/Service and Repair.
Removing components
Overheat protection thermostat and the coolant temperature sensor:
Remove:
-
the fuel line quick-release connector, coolant temperature sensor and overheat protection thermostat cover.

the engine coolant temperature sensor and the overheat protection thermostat holder.
Cut the cables to the engine coolant temperature sensor, alternatively overheat protection thermostat, approximately 2 cm away from engine coolant
temperature sensor / overheat protection thermostat and strip the cables 4-5 mm.
