Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service Precautions

WARNING:

-

The SRS (supplemental restraint system) is active for a certain time after the power is cut. Therefore wait 3 minutes before starting work.

-

Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected, non-deployed
pyrotechnical SRS component. There is a risk of the seat belt tensioner deploying.

-

A pyrotechnical SRS component must never be unscrewed, repaired or transferred to another vehicle.
