Intercooler: Procedures

Replacing The Charge Air Cooler (CAC) 

Conditions 
Remove the front engine cover if applicable.

Removing the fan unit assembly 
Remove the fan unit assembly.

Removing the charge air cooler (CAC) 

Remove: 

-

The air intake hose

-

The idling hose

-

The 2 cooler mountings at the top

-

Automatic transmission:  Remove the screw. Move the charge air cooler (CAC) as far to the right as possible. Press out the air cooler

Lift the cooler off the charge air cooler (CAC) mounting. Move the cooler backwards

Carefully lift out the charge air cooler (CAC).

Installing the charge air cooler (CAC) 

-

Carefully install the charge air cooler (CAC). Position the radiator on the charge air cooler (CAC).

NOTE:  Press the oil cooler into place in the charge air cooler (CAC).
