Removal
Removing engine compartment components
Note: When removing the battery lead, see Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead
Remove
-
the air cleaner (ACL) housing, the intake manifold and the battery
-
the battery shelf.
Remove the transmission cable from the lever. Move the cable to one side
Warning: Take care not to damage the cable or sleeve by bending it excessively. Take care not to damage the cable boot.
Checking the setting
Remove the lever. Install adjustment tool 999 5475 on the gear shift linkage rod. Check that the shaft is in the N position. The groove on the tool must
align with the marking on the gear position sensor.
