Power Steering Line/Hose: Procedures
Pressure Line
Oil Delivery Line Power Steering, Replacing (LHD)

Removal
Hint: Turbocharged engines: Note that if the connection nut for the pipe coupling cannot be installed as described, the turbocharger control must be
removed.
Preparations
Open the hood.
If necessary, remove the cover over the headlamps.
Remove the engine cover.
Does not apply to B41 84SM/SJ: Remove the mounting nuts for the heat deflector plate.
Remove the plate from the cowl panel.
Remove the heat deflector plate from the steering gear housing by removing the mounting screw (A) and then pulling the plate away from the steering
gear housing (clamps). Move the heat deflector plate as far as possible to the side.
Removing the delivery line from the power steering pump (does not apply to B41 84SM/SJ)
Remove the pipe clamp (A).
Remove the pipe clamp (B) from the pump support.
Install 115 8957 on the inlet hose. Clamp the hose.
Collect the oil in a container and wipe up any spilled oil using a rag.
Disconnect and release the pipe connection nut (C). Pull out the pipe.
