Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair
Replacing The Rear Windshield Washer Pump

 Replacing tailgate washer pump

Remove the tailgate washer pump 

Applies to S40

Replace the tailgate washer pump from underneath the car.

Ignition off

-

Drain the reservoir

-

Remove all the screws on the right-hand side of the splashguard (5 screws and two plugs)

-

Remove the connector and the hose from the washer motor (on the front of the reservoir)

-

Remove the pump (press it out carefully using a large screwdriver).
