Note! Check that the gasket follows with the engine cover.

When the variable valve timing solenoid is replaced, the gasket must be replaced.

Note! The beveled edge of the gasket must be facing outwards when installed on the solenoid.

Installing the variable valve timing solenoid

Install:

-

the variable valve timing (VVT) solenoid

-

the screw for the variable valve timing solenoid. Tighten. See:  Tightening torque See: Engine, Cooling and
Exhaust/Engine/Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Tightening Torque. Connect the connector for the variable valve timing solenoid

-

the upper timing cover.
