Preparatory work
Removing components
Remove the air cleaner (ACL) module. See: Air filter module See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair.
Removal
Removing upper intake manifold
Caution! Seal the openings in the lower part of the intake manifold with tape or similar.
Remove / slacken off the 6 screws for the upper intake manifold, the 2 screws closest to the front cover plate and the 2 screws against the firewall. Bend
up the intake manifold and hold it to one side.
