SUBJECT: Installation and removal of crankcase breather check valve
REFERENCE: Special Tool Bulletin 147
DESCRIPTION:
Should the crankcase breather check valve (30677524) located on top of the turbocharger need replacement; it can be separated from the hose using
special tool 9814016 "Wrench".
SERVICE:
Place open jaws of wrench 9814016 over metal pipe above check valve; slide tool down pipe and onto the back of the valve body. Apply gentle pressure
to the tool while pulling pipe out from the valve.
Slide a new valve onto the pipe until the lock ring engages the groove in the pipe. To verify engagement, gently pull the pipe away from valve without
using excessive force.
