Checking the power supply and ground terminals

Power supply, Integrated Audio Module (IAM)

The Integrated Audio Module (IAM) is supplied with voltage via a voltage input on the control module.
With ignition on the voltage input is supplied with voltage and the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) is in active mode.

Voltage input 1 (#A1) is supplied with voltage via a fuse from the Central Electronic Module (CEM). The Integrated Audio Module (IAM) will
not be activated in the event of open circuits.

Checking the power supply

Check the power supply cable from the battery to the Central Electronic Module (CEM) and from the Central Electronic Module (CEM) to the
Integrated Audio Module (IAM) (#A1) with regard to open circuits, loose connections, contact resistance and corrosion. Check the fuse too. The voltage
should be approximate battery voltage with the ignition on.

Ground terminal, Integrated Audio Module (IAM)

The Integrated Audio Module (IAM) has a ground input. The ground input from the control module is connected via a ground cable to the ground
terminal in the body. For further information on ground terminals, see the relevant wiring diagram.

Ground input 1 (#A14) is power ground and connected to the ground terminal in the body.

Checking the ground terminal

Check the ground cable between the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) (#A14) and the ground terminal with regard to open circuits, loose connections,
contact resistance and corrosion. With the ignition on the voltage drop between the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) ground terminal and the chassis
connection must not be greater than 0.5 V.
Remedy as necessary.
