SUBJECT: CCM Upgrade / Reload may set DTCs CCM-0070 or CCM-0071 or
CCM-DDxx after functional check.

DESCRIPTION:
After a CCM upgrade or CCM reload is performed, VIDA will instruct you to perform a CCM calibration. If this calibration is performed immediately
after the software download, DTCs CCM-0070 or CCM-0071 may be set, possibly in combination with a DTC that indicates an unresponsive LIN-node
(CCM-DDxx). The DTCs are not always set immediately
but after performing functional check as described below.
SERVICE METHOD:
Use the following method if CCM software must be downloaded:
1.
Use VIDA to perform the CCM upgrade or CCM reload.
2.
Wait until the software download is finished.
3.
Click "Start the programming" in the "Calibrating the CCM" window.
4.
Wait 30 seconds after the "Completed" message appears before proceeding by clicking "Continue".
5.
Perform functional check of the climate system as follows:

Start engine (cars with MCC: switch AC On).

Turn FAN speed to MAX.

Select DEMIST and check airflow to windscreen.

Select FLOOR and check airflow to floor.
-
Select VENT and check airflow to dashboard vents.
-
Turn to MAX COLD and check cold air from dashboard vents left and right.
-
Turn to MAX HOT and check hot air from dashboard vents left and right.
-
Turn temperature and fan speed controls to midrange.
-
Select Recirculation and check difference in airflow noise in climate system.
-
Switch off Recirculation and check difference in airflow noise in climate system.
6.
Use VIDA to read CCM DTCs.
If DTCs CCM-0070 or CCM-0071 or CCM-DDxx are present, continue with:
7.
Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
8.
Wait 5 seconds.
9.
Insert ignition key and switch ignition on.
10.
Use VIDA to perform CCM calibration (Diagnostics tab/Vehicle Communication tab/Advanced tab/Select CCM/Calibrating the CCM).

Click VCT2000 symbol.

Click "Start".
-
Wait 30 seconds after the "Completed" message appears.

Click "Hide".
11.
Perform steps 5 to 6 above.
12.
If CCM DTCs exist, repeat steps 5 to 11 above.
13.
If CCM DTCs still exist, perform fault tracing according VIDA.
