Downloading software and replacing the control module
A new trailer module (TRM) is not preprogrammed. New software must always be downloaded.
New software can be downloaded into previously installed control modules.
When downloading new software a P/N must be entered. This must be done to obtain the correct software and full operation of the control module. The
P/N corresponds to the type of socket used on the cable harness for the tow hitch.
