Preparatory work
Disconnecting the battery negative lead
CAUTION: The driver information module (DIM) must not be replaced at the same time. This would erase the mileage.
NOTE:

Automatic alarms to the emergency services can be triggered if the vehicle is fitted with Volvo On Call.

Applies to 2005-. Check which mode global opening/closing is programmed in and make a note of it. See Vehicle communication, Programming
global opening/closing window.
Disconnect the battery negative lead.
Removal
Removing the passenger side soundproofing panel
Remove:

the 2 clips
-
the soundproofing panel. Pull straight down, then backwards.
Removing the central electronic module (CEM) / relay box
