Preparatory work
Remove the rear springs on both sides. See: Spring, M56, MPS6, M66, MMT6, MTX75, IB5, AW55-50/51SN See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf
)/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension.
Remove the rear anti-roll bar. See: Rear Stabilizer Bar See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear.
Removal
Removing the brake caliper
Remove the following on both sides:

the 2 screws
-
the brake caliper.
Remove the brake hose from its bracket. Hang the brake caliper in a suitable way.
Removing the shock absorber
