Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Preparatory work 

Remove center console.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console

Remove the nut for the cable on the parking brake lever.

Removal

Removing the heat deflector plate

Remove:

-

the screw to the mounting for the exhaust system

-

the 6 x plastic nuts

Detach the front heat deflector plate from the studs and pull it down towards the exhaust system, sliding it forward slightly.

Detach the rear heat deflector plate from the studs and slide it over the front plate to access the cables.
