Control Module (BCM) codes 0011, 0012, 0021, or 0022.

SERVICE

Access Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) using VIDA. If any combination of BCM-0011, -0012, -0021, -022 are set, fault trace according to VIDA and
follow these steps.

First check if ant metal particles are trapped on the hub's encoder ring. See photo 1 in the attachment. Remove all metal particles if found. Clear DTCs
and test drive the vehicle for a few minutes.

NOTE

Do not use any magnetic equipment to remove the particles since these may damage the encoder ring function, use air pressure if available and wear
safety goggles!

Then, check if the hub is correctly seated in the knuckle. There should be no gap near the arrow in Photo 2 in the attachment.

Check for the hub "pushing out" near the arrow shown in Photo 3 of the attachment. If a displaced hub is found, replace both, hub and steering knuckle
according to VIDA. Only replace the hub and knuckle on the side of the vehicle that is causing an issue.

IMPORTANT

Before pressing the new parts together, clean mating surface throughly on both knuckle and hub using Volvo cleaner in order to remove remaining traces
of lubricants from the manufacturing process. Refer to photos 4 & 5 in the attachment.
