Remove the protective caps over the nuts on both sides of the cargo compartment grille

Slacken off the nuts so that they are at the tips of the screws retaining the grille

Fold the rear backrests forward.
Installing the cargo compartment safety grille

Lift the grille into the car through the boot

Insert the rounded head of the mounting screw (1) into the rear part of the hole in the mounting in the left-hand cantrail. Slide the mounting for the
grille forward so that the screw is at the front edge of the cantrail mounting. Check that the screw is locked in the mounting and does not turn.
Note! Do not damage the headlining.

Position the locating pin (2) in the mounting for the grille. It must be in the rounded section of the cantrail mounting. Tighten the nut a little

Repeat on the right-hand side, but first press the grille towards the left-hand mounting in the cantrail so that the sprung mounting in the grille
springs in, allowing the right-hand mounting to be positioned

Check that the grille is correctly positioned in both mountings in the cantrails. Tighten the nuts. Tighten to 11 Nm (9 lbf. ft.).

Install the protective caps on the nuts

Fold the grille up towards the roof. There are gas struts so a little force is required. Return the backrests to the upright position before folding the
grille down again.
