Warning! Wear safety goggles.
Caution! Apply a piece of tape (4) under the moving section of the winch so that the paint is not damaged.
Hint: Place plain A4 paper (5) between the cable and the trunk lid. The A4 paper must be moved after winching in the cable.
Tension the cable using the winch. Check that the cable lies against the adhesive bead under the spoiler.
Wind in the cable using the winch. Remove the spoiler.
Installation
Installing the trunk lid spoiler
Caution! Exercise care so that the paintwork is not scratched.
Note! Ensure that the trunk lid and spoiler are kept at a temperature of at least +16 °C.
Caution! Use isopropanol immediately to remove any primer spillage and adhesive from the trunk lid or spoiler.
Cut off as much of the adhesive residue as possible.
Hint: Keep isopropanol and paper to hand.
Note! If the paint surface is waxed it must be first cleaned using cleaner H, part no. 116 1436.
Note! The adhesive surface must be completely dry before applying primer.
Clean the adhesive surface of the trunk lid and spoiler. Use cleaner 116 1653 in the relevant area. Wipe dry.
