Remove:

-

the lock clip and discard it. This is only used during the production process.

-

the brake disc.

Cleaning and checking

Cleaning and checking brake discs

Note! Cleaning is important to prevent lateral run out at the brake disc.

Clean the hub flange before installing the new brake disc.
Check the hub. Measure the lateral runout if the hub is damaged. See: Wheel hub rear, checking See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Testing
and Inspection/Wheel Hub Rear, Checking.

Installation

Installing the brake disc

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. See: Specifications/Tightening Torque

Note! Be careful when handling the new brake disc. Careless handling can cause damage to the brake disc (out-of-true).

Install:

-

the brake disc

-

the retaining clip.

Finishing

Installing the mounting bracket and the brake caliper

Install

the mounting bracket
