DTC 436B - Leak diagnostic unit, signal missing
REFERENCE: VIDA
DESCRIPTION:
DTC 436B "Leak diagnostic unit - signal missing" may be incorrectly set in any of the above vehicles due to an over sensitivity in the engine
management software. If the Engine Control Module (ECM) software part number is one of the following:
Upgrade the ECM software as described below, then test the system using the "quick-test of the fuel tank system" via VIDA vehicle communication,
fault trace any faults according to VIDA. If the ECM software part number is anything other than one of the above, the upgrade has already been applied,
and DTC 436B should be fault traced per VDA.
SERVICE:
If the Engine management software is one of the above, upgrade the Engine Management Software using the ECM upgrade option in VIDA.
Use software product number 30677021 (ECM upgrade).
