Wait 75 minutes or place the test tube in hot tap water for at least 20 minutes.
Glycol contamination can be determined by the color of the sample. Lilac indicates glycol in the transmission oil, the darker the color the greater the
glycol content. Always wait for the final colors of the sample.
Left test tube (A): No glycol in the transmission oil.
Right test tube (B): Glycol in the transmission oil.
If glycol contamination is discovered in the transmission oil, the transmission, radiator and hoses between the radiator and transmission must be replaced.
