The air cleaner (ACL) cover and air intake hose between air cleaner (ACL) cover and throttle body (TB). Put to one side.
-
Ignition coils cover.
-
Upper torque rod bracket.
-
camshaft position (CMP) sensor housing and trigger wheel.
Remove the rear camshaft seal
-
Carefully pull off the seal with extractor 999 5919.
Replace rear camshaft seal
Install new seal:
-
Grease and install the new seal. Use drift 999 5450.
Note!
The seal is normally positioned at the same level as the internal beveled edge. If the shaft journal is showing signs of wear, the seal can be
pressed in 2 mm (0.079 in) deeper by turning the drift socket.
Finishing
Install
-
The trigger wheel. Tighten to 17 Nm (12.54 lb.ft)

Camshaft position sensor housing and a new cover. Tighten screws.

The torque rod bracket. Tighten to 50 Nm (36.9 lb.ft)
-
Torque rod. Tighten to 35 Nm (25.82 lb.ft) and angle tighten 90 degrees
-
Ignition coils cover. Tighten to 8 Nm (5.9 lb.ft)
-
The air cleaner (ACL) cover and air intake hose to intake.
Test function
Checking motor
-
Checked engine function by test driving the engine.
-
Wipe clean and check engine compartment.
-
Wipe dry steering wheel and gear selector lever.
