Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

Special tools: 9812270, 9812273, 981 2282, 999 5480, 999 5484

Removing Covers

Remove: 

-

Throttle pulley cover. 

-

Cap from valve on fuel rail.

Fuel Rail Service Port

Connecting

-

Connect adapter 999 5484 to fuel draining unit 981 2270981 2273 and 981 2282.

-

Connect adapter to valve on fuel rail in locked position (image inset #1 valve closed).

-

Start fuel drainage unit.

-

Unlock adapter (image inset #2 valve open).

-

Raise the car.

Draining Fuel System

Remove:

-

Cap from valve on fuel filter.

-

Connect venting hose 999 5480 to valve upstream of fuel filter.

-

It takes approx. 2 minutes to drain the system.

Installing
