Shift Indicator: Service and Repair
Replacement of Indicator Bulb
AI10 Preparations for Replacing Bulb in the Automatic Transmission Position Indicator:
NOTE: For type of bulb, See: Lighting and Horns/Specifications

Ignition off.

Set parking brake.

Remove tunnel compartment (center console).
AI11 Replacing Bulb in Automatic Transmission Position Indicator:

Pull down the bulb holder at the side of the gear selector and disconnect connectors.
NOTE: The bulb and holder are a unit and cannot be separated.

Replace the bulb.

Reinstall bulb holder.
-
Reinstall center console. Take care not to scratch interior.
-
Connect connectors.
-
Check that bulb lights.
-
Screw center console into place and reinstall cover.
