Remove pedal jack.

Carefully pull up brake pedal to its highest position. The stop (brake) light switch will then adjust itself automatically.

Shake (do not pull) the stop (brake) light switch lightly and check that it is secure.

Check that the stop (brake) lights is working. 

-

In cars with automatic transmission and shift lock, check that shift-lock is working.

Reinstall soundproofing
