NOTE: Ensure that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead. Also lock the steering wheel with the steering lock before undoing tie rods (track rods)
or steering shaft universal joints. These precautions are necessary to prevent the SRS contact reel from reaching either limit position.
Removal
1. Mount support rails, lifting yoke and lifting hook. Jack up car slightly to relieve load on engine mountings
2. Remove/disconnect:
a. Front wheels.
b. Tie rod (track rod) ends from steering arms. Use puller.
3. On one side, measure length of tie rod (track rod) relative to steering gear housing. Note dimension.
