11. Fill power steering reservoir with fluid and bleed system:
a. Turn steering wheel repeatedly from lock to lock and top up fluid as required.
b. Lower car.
c. Apply parking brake and start engine.
d. Check fluid level while bleeding system as described below.
(1) Turn steering wheel slowly to right and hold in limit position for 10 seconds.
(2) Turn steering wheel slowly to left and hold in limit position for 10 seconds.
e. Repeated steps (1) and (2) 20 times. Move car after 10 times to avoid damage to tires.
12. Check toe-in.

1. Clean outside of steering gear. Disconnect pressure lines and remove O-rings.
NOTE: Pressure lines on later cars are provided with tapered seals.
2. Mount steering gear in fixture and stand. Use U-bolt 1272597-4 and intermediate piece 1272679-0 to mount assembly.
