Preparations
Caution!
Safety goggles must be worn when blowing clean area with compressed air.
Blow clean around the ball joint with compressed air.
Generously spray with rust penetrator the area around the ball joint and the retaining screw and nut for the ball joint.

Separate ball joint from knuckle
Caution!
Do not open up the slot on the knuckle which clamps the ball joint. Doing so may damage knuckle.
If retaining screw is rusted stuck, loosen nut a few turns and canfully tap on the screw using a drift and hammer.
Remove the nut and screw.
Spray the ball joint with rust penetrator again.
Caution!
The inner diameter of the socket must be larger then the bottom diameter of the ball joint. Failing to do so may damage the ball joint.
Spray the ball joint with rust penetrator again.
