3. Removal

Detach throttle cable from Accelerator Pedal (AP)

Free the latch lugs that hold the kickdown switch in place by pushing a screwdriver into the opening in cowl-panel.
Push out switch with throttle cable.

From the engine compartment side, make sure no remnants of the latch lugs remain between the insulation and cowl-panel.
4. Reinstallation

Installation of new throttle cable/kickdown switch

Ensure that connector is correctly positioned upright.

Make sure latch lugs engage cowl-panel.
5. Reattach throttle cable to AP

Make sure rubber cushion is in place in the hole on AP.

Use retainer in AP to fasten cable.
Make sure bead on the end of cable is anchored at the bottom of the retainer.

Cars with SRS:
Replace knee bolster, tighten to: 20 Nm.
Reinstall sound insulation pad
