Fold the carpet down. Remove the side panel.

-

Remove the screws for the cable grommet in the cowl-panel.

-

Remove the ignition switch interlock cable from the transmission cable.

Installing the transmission cable

Note! Take care not to damage the cable or sleeve by bending it excessively. Take care not to damage the cable boot.

-

Route the cable correctly in the engine compartment with someone to assist you.

-

Align the cable in the gear selector assembly.

Install:

-

the cable grommet in the cowl panel. Tighten to 6 Nm

-

the ignition switch interlock cable on the transmission cable

-

the side panel

Fold the carpet back.

Installing the cable on the gear selector assembly

Install:

-

the cable sleeve in the gear selector assembly

-

the cable on gear lever arm with the shaft.
