burrs from the slots (4) on the outside of the tail pipe

burrs from the slots (3) and the edge (2) inside the tail pipe.

Refit the clamp on the tail pipe.

Make sure it is even with the edge (2).

Cut the tail pipe so that (A) is as big as possible without effecting the threaded area which the screw passes through.

Burr the inner and outer cut surfaces.

Refit the tail pipe.

Make sure that the distance (A) reads 20 mm (3/4") according to the illustration.
